I self-directed this poster for a fictional lecture on the creative process. The imagery is a showcase of my own process in designing the first draft of my logo—starting with one idea in mind, & after exploring many iterations finding the first option to be the strongest. Certainly the “flash of inspiration” is not the most common method of deciding a logo nor identity, though can happen occasionally.

Originally based on Japanese family crests, people have claimed to see many images in the logo including a bridge, gate, & the Japanese word for “mountain”.
